Escape the British isles for the heart of the Landes de Gascogne, just an hour and a half from Bordeaux airport. Enjoy the products of the French passion for la chasse and gastronomy in comfortable surroundings.Driven through lines of miradors by hounds, the boar range from 40-70 kilos (90-150 lbs). Choose to remain in the same mirador, or to move from line to line much like guns moving pegs on a driven day. Combine driven boar with a day chasing partridge behind pointers or an evening’s duck flight to round out la chasse.
As with all Outside Days trips, your package will be tailored to suit, incorporating accommodation on the estate itself, or in a chateau. Seasons are locally determined, but generally extend a month beyond the British into February.
